This is how my neighbors called me. I don't know why seeing as I have other name. Or they could call me Cap seeing as I always hear caps. I have been living here for a short time and I barely know them. I am actually living at my girlfriend's. We've decided to move in together even though we've just met. Everyone knows her here. Everyone greets her. They may crack a joke or two with her. But this guy got on my nerves once since he was hitting on her. I am a jealous type myself. He said: What have you done Mary, another change of look? Is there any space left in your wardrobe_ And then he laughed like the fool he was.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2021, the group has 7.000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
