Dear Miruna, I'm telling you through whispers, I like your nightgown. A famous and good college colleague said you had jeans ripped at the back. With the straw hat with purple ribbon, you were coming out from a villa on the Snagov Street. Slowly, you were heading to Calea Moșilor to buy yourself a plaid blouse from Bucur Obor. Now you're looking at me from a serrated photo, then you were having a bad mood and also hot lips. And I heard you screaming through whispers, where is my nightgown? I'm crying on your nightgown. @ Mircea Vintilă

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2021, the group has 7.000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
