Rodica, let's love each other. I can't, Costel, because my head hurts. What is going on with you, that your head hurts so often? Should I give you an painkiller? Don't you want one? I also asked you mother because your headaches scare me. She started laughing, because you're just like her. But I'm not leaving you now. I also went to the pharmacy and bought from all the headache pills see what's good for you. The pharmacist laughed, but I didn't understand why. If it doesn't get better, we'll go to the doctor. What, you're already fine? Rodica, don't jump on me. Rodicaa. Ah.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2021, the group has 7.000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
