Shall we go to the mountainside to watch the autumn's colors? Well, don't you have some projects to finish, haven't you been telling that you don't even have enough time to die peacefully? Today I have been overwhelmed by the joy of being alive and healthy and I also have you, so, my dear, tomorrow we go to the mountain side. Tomorrow? I have patients scheduled for tomorrow. We shall go Saturday. Oh, no. I'm on duty. Sunday, we have to go to your parents' anniversary and, I have almost forgotten, Friday you are scheduled for medical tests. The following autumn is slowly dying out holding colorful leaves and singing an unspoken mourning.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In September 2021, the group has 7.150 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
