I cover his shoulders and fears and look through the bar window at the white lines left by the cars unrolled quickly - before our thoughts, there is no difference between those that come and those that leave, maybe just a childhood tent made of a blanket between two seats, in which a few drivers run away from life like us, while I'm at the traffic light, there I kissed you for the first time and I blushed, it's green now, after years, come with me, I whisper, nothing serious, we will tear down castles of books and sand all his life.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2021, the group has 7.275 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
