For a while, I started dreaming about you, but I don't remember anything the next day. All I know is that you're really sexy, and when I show up, dreamy scenes worthy of adult movies happen. I decided to wake up after each dream and write it in my laptop, in a maximum of 500 characters. Dozens gathered. I hid them all in a secret room, protected by a password. I missed you last night. Since then, I tried to open the room, but I couldn't: I forgot my password.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2021, the group has 7.275 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
