We played and reversed the scene, you were on the balcony, while I was reciting from below, until our mothers called us, and we ran inside to do our homework. Years from that moment, you tore the pictures of Delon from my journal-oracle and you wrote I am your favorite actor, and afterwards, hot headed, we practiced kisses as seen in movies. We meet again, we belong to others now, but we used to love each other in a twirling of feelings, time passed and you go away, leaving a piece of paper into my hand, not to forget me. From my floor, I see you running, we wave hands, mine holding a smile taken from an old picture.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2021, the group has 7.275 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
