Once upon a time, and once again. The wolf and Little Red Riding Hood. No, not like that, because I didn't put up the No minors allowed sign. This was another time when the hunter was walking through the forest filled with remaining brushwood after all the good wood had been stolen. And he came across the wolf. What are you doing here, wolf? I'm waiting at the crossroads. You're waiting, my ass. The slick with the Little Red Riding Hood and the grandma being eaten doesn't work anymore, because I need approval for that. To harvest you, that is. And until you get the approval, both you, the grandma, and the rest of your people will starve to death. Come on, become vegan and mind your own business.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2021, the group has 7.275 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
