The pornographic version. Night. Cold. Rain. A heavy, metallic squeak can be heard. It's the door that leads to the grandmother's bedroom. The penumbra is torn apart at times by the lightning, which reveals the old interior of the house and the carpet with the abduction from Seraglio. Suspicious steps. Jerky breathing. Thriller music on the background. The bedroom door is opening slowly. In an anti-lascivious position the grandmother sleeps snoring hard. Is this the Red Riding Hood's house? No, the grandmother muttered next to him. Of course it's not the pornographic version, but did you like the marketing?

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2021, the group has 7.275 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
