They already kinda knew each other. They had ended up at this party side by side. Next to the speaker. What's up, he shouted in her ear. Yeah, I'm messed up, too. I have a stupid roommate, I want to get out. Oh, I didn't know you were so straightforward, you little perverse. Verse? I'm not a fan of that. No, I don't think you're a nymphomaniac. Oh, it's because of the volume. It's too high. Tie? The fantasies you have. You're a rough lady. Yeah, I had a tough day, too. Want to go for a smoke, she pointed to the door. Take off already? Ok, let's go. Once outside, she took out a cigarette and froze when he waggishly asked: should we get a johnny, too?

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2021, the group has 7.275 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
