Come on, Aunt Lenuța, tell me all about it. How sh'd it be? We's be sleepin'. We's be sleepin' o'er there. All o' sudden a snizzle tore me 'wake, like grease 'n the pot. Then's a great guffaw caught on, such as when Uncle Ion dropped th' smoked pig'ed from the attic. And then? Oy, I looked an' there's the sky rite' through the hole'n the roof. Got all scared up. Then I spot this boulda' fell smack dab the middle o' the house, in came my nephew tellin' me it's a teorite and since then only film shoots in me home.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In November 2021, the group has 7.500 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
