Hey, Cocuța, what the hell you keep whispering to that boy, he's so half-hearted? What did I teach you on your wedding night? A man needs help, stimulation, encouragement. You have to harden his. Harden it. Don't slack off, come on, you can do it. If we don't sell this film, no more Caribbean vacation. Well done, Cocuța, I see you haven't forgotten your job. Go on, don't stop. Cut. Hey, Terente, you've ruined my bed sheets, I see you haven't cut your toenails again. Cocuța, get him a pair of scissors.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In November 2021, the group has 7.500 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
