You see, Lake Geneva and the Pyrenees separate the same regions, only the Danube has changed its course, it's the other way around and the Omu peak has become smaller, the "Babele" are sitting on the chin. Yes, a big mess, brother Valicos, at our people: the bears lost in numbers, no longer explore villages and towns, we eat polka dots and drink antifreeze, the sun warms the cold season through the voltaic panels, even if we have not grown in numbers. On the contrary, we have settlements up on to Saturn, the robots are the one who lead everywhere, and clones go to work for us. What else, a sort of living and a life?

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In November 2021, the group has 7.500 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
