The outlaw looked around. He had come from above, the sea surrounded him on three sides, and that way was towards the bounty hunters. He quickly loaded his knife, sharpened his gun and stopped, realising how drunk he was. Thankfully, the bounty hunters were actually just one bounty hunter because of the low funds, and he was drunk as well. The outlaw realised that he had been stealing money from the rich to give to the poor, but there weren't any poor people here. Realising that he was the only rich one, he immediately stole his own moneybag, sticking a sock in his own mouth so he wouldn't scream.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In November 2021, the group has 7.500 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
