Are you sure this is the tomb? Yes, the land's fresh. If I'm digging the wrong grave, I'm gonna bury you over your mother-in-law's body. I told you, I noticed it during the memorial. The bag was in the closet and I took it and shoved it in the tomb, at the granny's feet. Her husband is still searching the house for it. I tried to take it out until they buried her, but people were watching. I've got you to guard the place for a reason. We take the money and we run to Capri. The granny had a lover on the island and there were some keys in the bag. This is what I like about you, baby, that you're organised. And just wait to see the old man's villa.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In November 2021, the group has 7.500 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
