I mourn for a living. Now, with the restriction, people want me at the cemetery. Some invite singers, some invite me because I can hit soprano-like notes. At the last funeral I went to, the dead's wife yelled her lungs out. I yelled too, nicely, sentimentally. It came out as some sort of mix between a ballad and devils yelling, such a beautiful black metal tune. When I saw people tapping their feet, I felt better. In the end, we all enjoyed the concert. Even his wife, with whom I talked to start a band with, after the remembrance ceremony. This is how Raising the dead was formed.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In November 2021, the group has 7.500 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
