My friends' wives were relieving themselves behind the fence yesterday evening. One used her underwear to wipe and then threw it away, the other managed in whatever way she could. I watched silently, not giving myself away. Today, those two were complaining over a pint that they had no idea where their wives could have been. The first one pensively mentioned that his wife had come back home with no underwear on for the first time in 10 years of marriage. The other shook his head. That? That's nothing, mine had a ribbon stuck in her ass, and it read: We'll never forget you, signed the Ionescu brothers.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In November 2021, the group has 7.500 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
