I weighed 118 kg in 2018. I could hardly fit through the door, and never in any picture. I travelled a lot that summer holiday, but the pictures don't show the pyramids, the Colloseum, or Hagia Sophia. I cover up everything. Autumn rolled around with diets: keto, oshawa, ishpingo and other some such. I was visibly melting away: 110, 97, 80, 69, 55, 47. I thought about playing the lottery. When I went to claim my prize, the gentleman there said to me: now that you have enough money to buy food, perhaps you'll put on one or two kilos.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In November 2021, the group has 7.500 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
