Hello, godfather, I've made a bad mistake. Rodica said she would make Christmas cakes. For an hour she's been kneading, and then went to sit a little. She told me not to mess around and open the doors, because the dough won't grow, but what do I do if my neck gets dry? I made myself a spritzer on the balcony and forgot the door half open. It's so cold here and the cake didn't grow at all. Why do you breathe so hard? Are you kneading with your godmother? That's exactly what I'm doing, but my dough won't be fine if you keep me on the phone and your god-mother will get angry.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2022, the group has 7.830 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
