I don't have time, I don't have time, the Rabbit with a watch said, then disappeared as quickly as it had appeared. But wait, I had another chance to say it and the words stopped in my throat, because I was already talking to myself. I check my agenda again, my goals were nicely aligned, ready for the new year. According to my calculations, it only takes about three more days, if the days were a little longer, at least a quarter of an hour. But if the Rabbit doesn't have time either, how can I do it? I know, I'm going to lengthen the agenda.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2022, the group has 7.830 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
