Ok. And what do you want? I look at her stupidly. To submit the file. She looked at me stupidly. What file? I look at her stupidly. The approval one. She stared at me. What kind? I take my glasses off. For the file. She puts her glasses on her nose, looks at me from the bottom to the top and then puts them back on. What kind of file? Red veins suddenly invade my freshly shaved face. For approval. I came to submit the file for approval. You are doing this all day long, aren't you? No, I'm not. I only stamp. Files will only be received in room 101.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2022, the group has 7.830 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
