Years passed and we went from the park to the room and from the bench to the bed. Comfort will kill our wild love that is not about rules, ethics, structures. The memory of our hugs will no longer be cleared by rain and snow. From here we will no longer be able to look straight at the stars, we will no longer wonder if they have died and how their light has reached us. Between four walls, in the basement, all we have to do is ask ourselves, are we happy? North Station is close. Let's run as fast as we can.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2022, the group has 7.830 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
