After drinking their coffee, they kissed for a couple of minutes leaning on the table. Then the man undressed her real slow. The shy woman wanted to hop directly in bed; she wanted to hide under the blanked as fast as possible. The man grabbed her hand and pushed her against the wall, her back facing him. The wall was cold against her hot body. He grabbed her head with his hands, gripped her long hair in his palms and started braiding her hair. He asked her not to come again with her hair let down.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2022, the group has 7.830 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
