Hey, lil' Costel, what's wrong with you, son, why that face? You look like all of your ships have drowned. What happened to you that you're so upset? Oh, leave me alone, godfather, I don't feel like talking. Oh, you say that now, son. Well, what should I say, godfather? Look, yesterday while I was watching some porn, lil' Rodica stormed in on me out of nowhere. Oh, c'mon, son, that's why you're so upset? All women know that, we, men, like to watch those. You didn't understand, godfather, she entered the door in the film, not at home.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2022, the group has 7.830 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
