Bring the duck in the bedroom. Put a red bow around its neck. What the Hell happened to you, Vasile? What do you want to do with the duck? Well, we slash it, it's Sunday. You put that helmet with viking horns on your head, Vetuțo, the one Gică brought us from Sweden. Are you out of your mind, man? I want to impress my libido, woman. My idol, Dali, went to brothels with Swedish girls and requested a prepared duck. He would twist its throat during ecstasy and penetrate it in agony. Ptiu, Satan, take off your tail. Don't hit me with the poker, Vetuțo. Don't stick it in my ass.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In February 2022, the group has 7,950 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
