If you caress the keyboard, my hand touches your mouth. Soft lips, barely turned down, pink and wet, hungry; of kiss and sweetness. Romeo looks at the screen. As Juliet does not show up, he continues his ode. Getting down, orchards of pears, hanging full of honey, missing you like crazy, loving you, velvety being, loving you beyond the screen. The window opens, she shows up. From behind a masked guy is touching her naked body with a feather. Drowsy, she says in a chocked voice: I have been taken a hostage. Romeo, in shock. The balcony disappears.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In February 2022, the group has 7,950 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
