In Veronești, a house with a gazebo and a porch. On the porch, a sad beautiful lass. And next to her a lad, tall and handsome. She gently tells him, grabbing him around his waist: I'm terrified now, Romica, and I'm afraid. I'm going to be a mom, and my mum kinda found out. When daddy hears about it, he will tie you up to the beam. Oh, what a cruel fate. But for him not to catch you, you must make me your wife. Let's get married. We'll stay at your house; I'll be your wife. And we will have 6 children, Romica. How do you know this, Julica? Well, I have another 5 at my mum's.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In February 2022, the group has 7,950 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
