You once convinced me over virtual coffee, knocked me out in 2-3 likes, set me up on a date on an evening watch, loved me in a corner of Facebook, slammed me against your wall, made love on my profile page, pinched my heart and scrawled an "I love you" on my soul in Facebook language. Later I discovered that this was how you behaved with all the girls you get on the site. It's a good thing I had the nerve to put my foot down and break up with you, otherwise who knows what kind of virtual wedding we'd have, what children we'd have and what divorce awaited us.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In February 2022, the group has 7,950 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
