Happy birthday, my love. now, that you finally have retired let's enjoy these years to come. I have a surprise for you. I know how much you love the sea, so I've got an amazing offer and I've paid for a trip in Greece. We'll spent the whole month of July indulging ourselves on the beach. The woman was very happy. At launch, her children gather together. Happy birthday, mom. We have a surprise for you. We know how much you've wanted this. I'm pregnant. You will have a grandchild at the end of July. You said we should just have him and then it would be your job to raise him.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In February 2022, the group has 7,950 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
