Very rarely when I'm doing well and dozens of times a day, when I'm not doing well, I look for her. I've gotten used to being without her since I have left my hometown. Now she's moved close to me and we see each other once a week. It's hard for me to readjust to her presence a few blocks away, but she is all unconditional love, she understands that I've built a life in her absence. She is also very cool, up to date with everything in trend and it annoys me that she reads more than me. She's my first friend and the oldest, ever since she gave birth to me.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In March 2022, the group has 8,050 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
