I belong to a large family where we get paid rather well. I couldn't possibly say no to such an opportunity. And I told myself. Well done me. You've made it. I'm done with being a loser. Now I can suck Mentos and drink sana at any management level during my break at 5 pm. We also have an union. But I'm not on the yellow one and I won't be stupid enough to ask for a promotion. I'm not going to be the sheep that gets eaten by the wolf so the rest survives. In other words, when you don't get politics, do you switch to corporation?

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In March 2022, the group has 8,050 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
