Hey, babe, I'm outside. Can you come down a bit? I brought you an Americano. You can't? Are you going in a meeting? Ok. Just open the window a bit. With your head in the clouds now you look like a saint. They don't open? Ok. And you're fine spending the whole day in your office with no fresh air? Oh, you get a bonus. How much? 2% of the net or gross salary? Of the gross salary? Ok. Why are you whispering, babe? I know you're working, I'm just teasing you to ease the tension. Well, fine, I'll leave you be, I can feel you're tensed. Love U2. XOXO

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In March 2022, the group has 8,050 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
