Yo, ya' know bro, they said they would call, but with all that superiority rubbish of that bossy fella' I don't even think I wanna work for 'em, to hell with 'em. A bunch of weirdos. If I'm well-balanced. I did a handstand for five minutes on the chair arms, and I won't even say how unstable it was and how it creaked. If only my shirt hadn't tickled my nose, I'd've stayed for ten minutes. If I'm flexible. You talkin' about me? I'm like plastic, I made a dance move, then get out on the hallway and did a handspring. I don't think they deserve me.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In March 2022, the group has 8,050 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
