Oh, I'm going up while holding my parents' hands. We're going down, about to start school. I am walking up only with my mother. When I am going down, someone pinches my ass. I am climbing with flowers and am looking at myself in the mirror. I am going down for a walk and we are going up sweating between kisses. We are going downstairs with coffee in our hands. I am going up panting, I quickly pack my bags and while I go down I feel horrific, having the pains of a lifetime. We are going upstairs in a great fuss along with the grandparents who will stay with us. I'm coming down, you're his mother, he's barely moving, and he's got a broken mirror eye, with an announcement. House for sale.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In April 2022, the group has 8,175 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
