When it was time for him to grow up, he left almost confidently and never looking back. An hour of the harsh winter passed, he was hunting with his crying eyes and let the dogs free to get some rest. Then he lost his chance, the sound of the wolves scared away the dogs and his hunting brought other predators. What should I do?, screamed the boy to the sky. Buck sat next to the belt and understood the idea. The sledge was hard to control, but he got it to work. Oh, my baby, his mother twitched when seeing the sledge being pulled by a dog and followed by 5 others. You haven't let me down, whispered sincerely the father. You brought him alive back home.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2022, the group has 8,350 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
