It was love at first sight. I was looking at her knowing that she would be the mother of my children. One day, she told me that we must have a serious discussion. I proceeded to call my friends, I called my mom. I told them that in a few months I would get married. Secretly, I paid for some wedding singers in advance. On the night we had the serious discussion, she looked like a goddess. And then, I felt the ground slip from under my feet. She said she couldn't stand Puffy and that we should give him away. She kissed me. She broke my heart, but I had to grip her arm and kick her out. She could find herself an Uber.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2022, the group has 8,350 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
