Gheo, can I come to your place tonight to watch the match together? I'll bring the booze myself. Well, that'd be awesome, but I'm afraid it's not possible. Why not, man? 'Cause I know you're watching it tonight. I am, of course. But you can't come, 'cause I hid the TVunder the bed to shut Măriuca up, 'cause she kept nagging at me for doing this and that and for watching too much TV. So, this is what I did. Now I can watch whatever I want whenever I want and I even lie on the bed sheet and she doesn't care. But if you want, you can bring your chair and sit under my window and I'll tell you what happens during the match.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In June 2022, the group has 8,500 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
