Look at that, what's up with you, auntie Nela, are you getting well-off? What's this business sign pinned in your gate? Well, it says: We give you impossible solutions to impossible choices; reading your future in drunches. It is called branch. What don't you understand? Take a look at this mulberry tree. Where are your eyes stuck? The second branch. Well, yeah, that's where your problem comes from. There are two men enamored with you sitting on your drunch, both rich and good-looking. One's a king of clubs and the other's a king of cups. Fire and Water. Until you pick one of them, the drunch risks to crack and you'll be forever alone.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In July 2022, the group has 8,750 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
