I love being useful and when that family need my help, I jumped with the gentleman to try the mattress. It was good, but I was hopping on the man's belly and the wife screamed and, out of fear, the man got stuck. In bed, like a huge bug on his back. They snitched me to the bosses and I got sent to the eatery, where I cleaned and threw bad smelling balls. I was accused I left the clients without meatballs and, before getting to say Lego, they fired me. I go to JYSK, I already have a day as experience.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2022, the group has 9,000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
