He grinded his teeth and grabbed my hand until I felt the ring with a Rock painfully digging in my flesh. You put me to shame, he whispered with his lips slendered by anger. It's only today that you've chosen to put this slutty dress on. Passing by a huge mirror, I analyse myself. The dress is white, childish, with straps. He had met a colleague in front of the Dynasty bedroom from IKEA and he couldn't take his eyes off my knees. I'm gazing. The chandelier I wanted puts a washed-out light on a body without sins.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2022, the group has 9,000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
