I am the father of an adorable three-year-old girl. Single, overwhelmed by it all, tired but happy. I won't lie to you, it's hard, it's hard without her mother. For both of us. I try to fulfil her role as well as I can and sometimes I fail at it. I cry after she goes to sleep at night, I swear, I down a shot of tequila and in the morning, I start over. But I am happy every day. I live every moment, I breathe in every single drop of happiness. We do almost everything together: we read, we dance, we wash the dishes, we sleep, we cook. Daddy, spy to G4, check mate.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2022, the group has 9,000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
