I fell in love with the wrong person. No, asshole, should is an intransitive verb. I fell in love with who I shouldn't. Better, but it still sounds crazy. Why? It sounds like a folk song. I fell in love. With who? Shouldn't I? You're reflective today. Passive-reflexive, I guess you could say. Emphasis on the passive, you softy. I'm in love. Who wouldn't? You should have. Well, look, that describes it a little better, you old bitch. You fell in love with everything. Yeah. I shouldn't have. I love you. I love you, too.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2022, the group has 9,000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
