Sis, are you nuts? Please tell me it's one of your jokes. I can't believe this. Did he come to Romania? Where do you wanna go with him, sis? He's old, he's almost 60 and he can't see well either. In a year or two, you won't even be able to talk to him anymore, because he'll forget his name. Tell me he's only a crush and you'll get over him. You're in love with him since you were 12? Well, he doesn't even know you exist. He'll find out, I get it, but maybe he's not interested. He's definitely traumatized after the divorce and you're older than Amber. And fatter.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2022, the group has 9,000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
