I like to feel my hands shaping the clay. If I squeeze it in my hand, golden butterflies emerge from between my fingers and stick to the fired pots. At times I get sunflowers and colourful poppies. I tasted the clay and it has the sweet taste of childhood. I also made two little houses - shelter for dragonflies. As the wheel vibrates, it keeps spinning and the clay takes different shapes, only to become a bowl again and grow anew. I'm blind, but I have the light of my fingers and I create life in parallel worlds.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In September 2022, the group has 9,250 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
