He stripped me of my clothes in the most sophisticated way and thought he saw me naked. He also thought that he took me by the hand to the eighth cloud just because I was drawing the infinity sign on his chest. Then I was patient for a while, for him to think that he united me with ecstasy, just because he was good at the sex part. I failed so many times in chemistry that I didn't know how to let him learn the formulas for how to form bonds. In the end, I drew a tongue licking a brain, hoping he would understand the mystery.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In September 2022, the group has 9,250 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
