No more high school; well done; congratulations; a 9,98 overall mark on the baccalaureate exam; not that bad; it could have been better; I don't get why you didn't focus a bit more on the maths exam; I pumped more money into your ass for private tutoring than into this three-story, three-pool mansion; and this is how you repay us; anyway, you are not really the shame of the neighbourhood; Georgiana's boy got a 9,97; at least we have someone to laugh about; put that damn brush away; you have to study for the entrance exam; you know very well how hard it is to get into med school.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In September 2022, the group has 9,250 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
