I have bad luck, what can I do? Hoopoe from the linden tree, I'm waiting, like a dumb person, for you to come, to come back to me. I need you, do you hear me? How have I fallen in love with you, I have no clue, but happiness has your face. I give to you my life for love, and you act like an actor in a rush, aren't you? Come on, you won't let me die from a broken heart. Love, love, o thousand thoughts make me burn in flames. There is only one Chica Bomb! You all are green with envy, my prince has petroleum. I can do whatever I want with them. I give to him lollipops, I even add sugar to eclairs. Yes, officially everything is going well in my life.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In September 2022, the group has 9,250 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
