I wake up at seven o'clock, every day. No alarm. Continents stuck ever since the beginning. Universal language: love. I say good morning to the bearded man in the mirror. I take a quick shower. Walk in the park. Banks full. People and books. Noon. I have a frugal lunch. Job. 6 p.m. Quiet. Only the child's laughter makes noise. And the applause. A lot of them. On the open stage. Theaters offer weekly performances on various stages. You can choose classic or modern. The judgment is cloudy. In the evening he finds me at the theater. Row 2. Today I choose To Be. Or not.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2022, the group has 9,400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
