Rică, Lică, Sică and I were playing in the sand. We have the same mother, but our fathers are different. Rică is digging a grave with the shovel he hit him, breaking every bone in him to make it even more harder at the legal expertise. Lică is dreching the clothes in water as a firefighter called to put out a fire, the only difference being that the water was gasoline, hitting the body's head right by the leg of the bench where Sică is serving his hemp tea while playing chess. He is the one playing with blacks. From no one no one will lay a hand on our mother. I wonder what is my name and that I am doing here?

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2022, the group has 9,400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
