Although he drank only white wine, Tipsy Drinkhead peed red. He went to the doctor and found out he had that disease we don't like to talk about. It wasn't AIDS, nor syphilis, but something much worse. Looking at him kindly, the doctor told him he could drink and eat whatever he wanted. Mr Merlot sold his flat in Berceni and became a monk. In fact, he became Rose Monk. He bought a studio flat in the Monk Valley and with the rest of the money he bought all the Riesling in the cellar. He's going to drink it on Tibb's Eve.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2022, the group has 9,400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
